We’re getting lots of questions about the same issue so we’re sharing a clear explanation here to keep everything tidy and in one place.

The reason many of us have received multiple electricity bills is that the RA spotted that the bills sent out were using the wrong unit rate. Our tariff has gone down, but the bills were still calculated at the old, higher rate.

We raised this with Regency, and they have now issued a credit invoice to cancel the incorrect bill, along with a new bill showing the correct amount.

We were disappointed that no explanation or apology was included - residents simply received new bills with no context, which has understandably caused confusion.

We’ve told Regency that while mistakes happen, how they handle them is what really matters. A short note explaining the error and apologising would have avoided all this.

We’ve asked them to address this properly.
