Thanks to everyone who came to race night. What a busy one that was but all went smoothly thanks to all who help out.

We don't like to beat our own drum but we have an amazing team of volunteers who all muck in to make these events enjoyable.

Just as example of all the hard work that goes into one event -

Early Saturday morning some of us were in the hall sorting out tables and chairs, applying blackout to the windows and setting up the big screen and projector and making sure all the wires were taped down for H&S.

On the night itself Mick was hosting, Ali running the bookies, and Graham was tic tac man.

On the tote table was Pat Moore, Carol, Patrick, James and Laurie.

Sheila Hobman also spend hours designing and printing the race booklets and hand making crafts for the winners.

After the event, when everyone's gone, we're still there cleaning up. 5 sacks of bottles, tins and paper all collected up and waiting to be hand fed into the relevent bins the next day.

Talking about the next day, I was up at the crack of dawn resetting the hall, washing up and doing the bins. Lynda and Laurie come in to hoover carpets, wash the floors and polish the tables. Then Mick Hilton comes and cleans all the toilets.

Amazing, right?

I'd like to thank the team of helpers who give up their time to make everything in the club such a success. You are superstars.
