Dear Residents,

As many of you will know, Regency recently consulted on a new set of park rules. One proposal in particular caused significant concern - changing Dunton from being pet free to allowing 2 pets per home.

Despite residents’ strong objections, Regency initially informed us that they had considered all feedback but intended to press ahead with the proposal. This understandably caused widespread frustration.

In response, the Residents’ Association submitted an application to the Tribunal, asking for this controversial rule to be removed from the new park rules. Before the matter reached a hearing, Regency contacted us to request a meeting in the hope that we could reach an agreement without the need for court involvement.

We have now had an amicable and constructive meeting with Regency’s Operations Manager, during which we presented the case against the proposed change in full.

We are pleased to confirm that, following this discussion, Regency has reconsidered the matter and decided that Dunton will remain a pet‑free park.

We would like to thank Regency for being willing to take time to listen carefully to the concerns raised by the RA and for reconsidering. We love this kind of collaborative approach and long may it continue.
