Monkies Wedding are a Guitar and Sax Duo
Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Soul, Pop
Dave and Mike had a Duo back in the late ’90s, FAB, inc and have a good history of work together. They both have worked for various bands throughout the country and Europe. In 2010 after a meeting and a few beers they agreed that as a duo they had worked really well and after getting together for a jam, Monkies Wedding was formed.
Playing songs they both grew up on and have a passion for is what Monkies Wedding is all about. The Beat, The Specials, Madness and Bad manners are among the top of the list but also adding a bit of their own style to great modern and retro tunes to keep the punters singing and dancing.
Ska is the foothold but modern pop and good old Rock ‘N roll fit neatly into the repertoire. With wit and great musicianship, they are now becoming a regular to the Essex playlists and parties.
