Staff Update
Dunton Park Residents' Association
A New Chapter for Our Park
Many of you will remember that Regency took over the running of the park two years ago to help get things back on track. Their job was to steady the ship and prepare the park for long‑term, permanent owners/investment. We’ve now reached that two‑year point. So, to help attract those future owners, Regency is updating how all of their parks are run. These changes are happening everywhere, not just here.
Office & Staffing Updates
We were sad to say goodbye to Sue recently, and we can now confirm that Lisa will also be leaving at the end of the month. No doubt you'll all join us in wishing her all the best for the future.
Here’s what that means for us:
Office Hours
Moving forward the on‑site office will only be open part‑time (but this is still being finalised).
There will still need to be a physical management presence on these sites because they have legal obligations - things like health and safety checks, monitoring, and maintaining everything beyond the basic grass‑cutting and hedge‑trimming duties.
And let’s be honest: once they start selling new homes again, they’ll need staff on site. When people are spending thousands on a new home, they expect a visible management presence. They don’t expect to be left to just get on with it.
Centralised office
The company appears to be moving toward a more centralised, phone‑ and email‑based system for customer service and accounts, while reducing the hours physical offices need to open, many of which see very little use these days.
Grounds Maintenance
You may see the grounds team less often, but when they come, they’ll arrive in larger groups to get everything done in one go.
For example, the two vans we saw last Friday were part of this new “blitz team” approach, and they completed all the tasks in a single visit.
Your Pitch Fees
A few residents have asked whether these changes mean pitch fees will go down. It’s important to remember that pitch fees pay for:
Your right to have your home on the plot
The upkeep and maintenance of the site
Although the way services are delivered is changing, we're assured that the services themselves are still being provided. For now, the best approach is to keep an eye on how things run over the next year. If we see any long‑term decline, we can challenge it at the 2027 pitch‑fee review.
Looking Ahead
As an RA we stay positive and constructive and our community remains as strong and supportive as ever. The community spirit is exactly what makes this park such a wonderful place to live. As we move into the next stage of the park’s future, we’ll make sure you’re kept fully informed and if you're registered with Regency's email service - they send regular updates too.
