About yesterday’s power cut:
Hopefully you're all back on by now 🤞💡
The outage didn’t just affect our site — it hit a wide area, even stretching into some SS postcodes, so despite the usual moans about it being Regency's fault, the simple fact is, it wasn't. This was due to an underground cable fault off site.
🔋 One silver lining: we got to see how the battery back-up system on the gates performs during a cut. In an outage, it kicks in automatically and forces the gates open, keeping them open until power returns 🚪⚙️Great to see it worked exactly as designed 👌✅
