Regency Living has proposed to stop acting as a reseller of bottled gas. Instead, they want residents to purchase gas directly from suppliers. They say this is to give residents greater flexibility and control over their gas supply, including delivery arrangements, pricing, and payment options. Regency have told us they will help with the transition and tell us they have spoken with companies willing to take individual orders and suggest this will be cheaper too.

The Residents Association will be investigating these claims thoroughly. However, we only have 28 days to respond to the proposal.
We are therefore calling a General Meeting on:

Monday 13 October 🕕 6pm 📍 Clubhouse

At the meeting, we’ll present any pros and cons and take a show of hands to decide whether to accept or reject the proposal. Between now and then, we’ll be working hard to gather the facts so residents can make an informed decision.

On another matter

We’re often asked whether residents can vote on RA matters by letter or other means if they’re unable to attend meetings. Unfortunately, our current constitution only allows for in-person voting. However, at this meeting we can also take the opportunity to hold a separate vote to amend the constitution and allow for alternative voting methods in future - not just in-person.

If you have questions or concerns ahead of the meeting, please get in touch via our email [email protected] or by popping a letter in our postbox on the clubhouse wall.
