🚧 Planning Application Update: 70 New Units on the Old Touring Field 🚧

You should have all received a letter from Basildon Council about these proposals.

Whilst we don't object to the principle of developing the touring field, we will be objecting because Regency have gone about this all the wrong way and didn't consult with us.

We're doing an objection from the Residents’ Association. However, we strongly encourage individual residents to submit their own comments—the more, the better! ✍️📢

Key points to mention:

Previous commitments to redevelop this field included provisions for new access roads to avoid disrupting existing residents. This hasn't happened. 🚙🛣️

Using the current road network for this development would be completely unsustainable given the existing conditions. 🚗💨

No provision has been made in the new plans for extra recreation space, despite requirements outlined in the site licence. 🏞️🚶‍♂️

The plans fail to include EV charging facilities, even though building regulations mandate them. 🔌🚘

No consultation has taken place with current residents, disregarding community input in the planning process. 🏡🤷

Disabled parking provision has been promised as per Essex County Council guidance, but how can we trust that when they haven't done it on the current site. ♿🚫
