Some residents asked us if we can set up a Q&A session with Regency over their plans.

Just to say, written responses are the only official way to have your say, but Sharon and Ryan have kindly agreed to come to the clubhouse this Wednesday at 12 midday for Q&As so feel free to pop along.

We shouldn't need to say this because we're all adults - but please keep things civil. After our last large meeting in the hall, a number of residents contacted us and said they won't come to a meeting again because the atmosphere wasn't very nice - with interruptions and raised voices and too much chatter so they couldn't hear properly.

We can’t promise a specific outcome from this consultation, but we will always push for the best result we can and we have always got the best results by being calm and amicable. In my own job I'm far more inclined to help someone who has a friendly approach and experience has shown, the same is true for the company.

Finally, I was up at the crack of dawn today writing a marathon six‑page response so the RA could lend real weight to residents’ concerns too. But you don't have to go to that extreme. Even if you only write a few sentences, written responses carry far more weight than anything said in a meeting so if you only do one thing, reply to the consultation in writing.

Thanks
